Community Involvement
Donations Committee
Commerce Bank was founded in 1955 and continues its goal
of service to its communities through charitable contributions
for education, culture and the arts, social service agencies,
charitable activities, community and economic development,
and other programs that impact the needs of our communities.
By bridging the needs of the communities with the resources
of Commerce Bank, this will help to improve the quality of
life for our residents.
The Bank will consider a request from organizations
that are based in or will directly benefit the Commerce Bank
delineated community.
Guidelines for Application
The Commerce Bank application package consists
of the following:
- Application:
To provide us with information about your organization.
- Proposal:
To provide us with information regarding your request. Your
proposal should include: amount, need, goals or objectives,
anticipated benefit, total budget, additional funding, project/program
location, area to be served, date required, and project/program
director.
Eligibility: Commerce Bank
provides charitable contributions only to not-for-profit,
tax exempt 501(c)(3) organizations. Commerce Bank will consider
requests from organizations that are based in the bank's delineated community in varying amounts, determined by the
bank's Donation Committee.
Types of organizations Commerce Bank
will support: Community Development Corporations, Economic
Development Organizations, Youth Services, Senior Services,
Health and Social Services
Types of support: Annual Campaigns,
Program Development, Emergency Funds
Commerce Bank will not support: Individuals, political organizations/candidates,
churches or synagogues and any affiliated organizations, fraternal
organizations, employment unions, tax-supported programs with
schools and capital campaigns.
Commerce Bank discourages repeat requests for funding for
the same programs/projects. Unusual or emergency circumstances
will be considered on a case-by-case basis. A repeat request
for funding should be well documented.
