Commerce Bank is all about community. Since 1955, we have served the region through charitable contributions for education, culture and the arts, social service agencies, community and economic development, and other programs that address the specific needs of our communities.
Our people support local organizations with their time and talent. Commerce Bank is proud to be a leading supporter of the United Way, earning the Stoddard Award in 2009 for our employees’ generous contributions. We feel that connecting our resources with community requirements helps to improve the quality of life for all residents of Central Massachusetts.
Our commitment to community begins at our front door. We now own our corporate headquarters, the historic Slater Building on Worcester’s Main Street.
Commerce Bank will consider requests from organizations that are based in or will directly benefit the people of the Commerce Bank community – the cities of Worcester and Boston, and the nine towns in which we have branch locations. Our Donations Committee meets on a quarterly basis to examine proposals submitted by the 30th of the month prior to their scheduled meeting.
